Furrry...

Who doesn't love fur? Real or faux...fur is fabulous, isn't it?

It's every women's winter must-have!

On my first winter in Italy last 2009, I saw really gorgeous fur coats everywhere. In Shanghai, by then, it wasn't usual to see people in fur unlike these days. Seems like everyone in Italy has got one in their closet, specially the grannies. Then I thought to myself....I want one of those too...unfortunately, I really want the real one. I'm an animal lover, have always been, and that's what's stopping me from getting a real one. Although the possibility is there, I'm trying to resist. But just love the feeling of a real fur.

This ain't real..it's a faux fur given to me by my girlfriend last Christmas (oh, I forgot to include it amongst the other gifts I got!)...ain't I a lucky gal? She's also very stylish, my shopping buddy, and an online shopping addict. I will definitely feature her looks in one of my posts. Although it's a faux fur, this coat is warm and when I wore it, it felt like I was wearing the real one, lol!

Yeah I forgot to mention, I was MIA from the blogosphere for a while. I know I owe you gals & guys big-time. Just got tied up with something I'm working on and will definitely share with you all soon!

Anyways, these photos were taken during a weekend brunch with my husband a couple of weeks ago. We decided to try the Sunday brunch at Peninsula along The Bund as was suggested by my girlfriend. She tried their food on New Year's Eve and thought we should try it too. 

It was not a very cold day, but it was very gloomy and cloudy. I didn't think of over-dressing (as I usually do) coz we planned to stroll along Shanghai's French concession later that day. I thought the weather might change drastically and I didn't want to freeze, hence, my new coat and a pair of jeans! I already posted this look on my Lookbook profile a while ago. Hypes would be definitely awesome :)

Wore an all-black inner for the outfit. The coat is already too loud to contrast it with very detailed texture or colorful outfit. I didn't want my all-black ensemble to look boring so I added a very detailed belt I just got from Zara's latest sale and a pop of red for my footwear.

For the meal, we chose a 3-course meal, not too heavy since it's just brunch. They also have an option for a 4-course meal.

Soup starter: fish ravioli with nuts topped with pesto sauce

My husband's choice: duck in red-wine sauce & polenta

My choice: veal steak in red-wine sauce & nuts

The meal was delectable, very tasty, but the portion wasn't satisfying. We should've chosen the 4-course meal. 

After our brunch we went for a window shopping spree around the area. There were only signature stores in that very fancy place. I didn't get anything but enjoyed seeing the new collections of Prada, Gucci, and Armani. 

I hope this post will suffice those two weeks I've been away my lovelies! I will try my best to be updated on my posts, although I still have a lot of backlogs to work on.
